Happy 6th Birthday, Achievement Hunter! (July 28, 2014)
do not pity the dead, harry, pity the living, and above all those who think feminism means hating men.
AH PREACH IT
pity people who are still convinced that feminism is equality even in 2014 in the face of an oncoming matriarchy.
lmao go read a fucking dictionary please because:
BY THE DICTIONARY, FEMINISM IS EQUALITY. EQUALITY OF ALL SEXES AND GENDERS.
feminism is not that “women are the superior gender” bullshit, okay? it’s wanting everyone! EVERYONE! man, woman, neither, both, those who are in between, and more - all of those people to have the right to have the same opportunities and respect.
and a matriarchy? ha, don’t kid yourself there, bud. you’re saying it like one day we’ll wake up and the entire western world will suddenly be a matriarchy. shit doesn’t happen that quickly, okay? even if a matriarchy were to develop, it would take ages, beCAUSE MOST OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE IN POWER ARE CIS MEN WHO ARE FURTHERING A PATRIARCHAL SOCIETY.
god, i’m sorry. i just. don’t understand how women having rights equal to those of men makes society suddenly a matriarchy? like are you so scared of women treating men the same way men have treated women for thousands of years that you’ve resorted to wild accusations that have no basis in fact? you’re not helping your case at all, kiddo. listen, it won’t happen, because being under a patriarchal society for so long, women actually see men as people who are deserving of respect. the same cannot be said for most men.
if treating women with respect sounds like a horrifying and dangerous oppression of your rights to you…well fuck off, buddy, ‘cause i really don’t want to be around that toxic bullshit. maybe you should see a (female) doctor about that :))))))))
I know Free! might be confusing to the uninitiated, so I made a helpful table describing the characters:
You’re at peace because you know it’s okay to be afraid.
Tōrō nagashi (灯籠流し Tōrō = lantern / nagashi = cruise, flow) is a Japanese ceremony in which participants float paper lanterns down a river. This is primarily done on the last evening of the Bon Festival, festival based on the belief that this guides the spirits of the departed back to the other world. The white lanterns are for those who have died in the past year. Traditional Japanese beliefs state that humans come from water, so the lanterns represent their bodies returning to water.

“It’s a dream to work with him,” she said. “He’s obviously one of the greatest actors I think we have alive today and he’s also just a remarkable human being. I love him very much.”
Chris Pratt interrupts the interview to french braid intern’s hair x
BUT ACTUALLY THAT IS A FREAKING PERFECT FRENCH BRAID
Love for the dead is pointless.
We only fight to keep more from dying, that is all.
